Title: New Car Facility Lead

Reports to: New Car Facility Manager or Area Manager

 

  1. Summary

The New Car Facility Lead is responsible for supervising the work of New Car Inspectors at a fixed- site facility which (in some cases) operates on an around-the-clock schedule. The New Car Facility Lead may also have to work cooperatively with the facility as well as other vendors or contractors assigned to the site.

  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspections – Perform and supervise inspections on the ground, abroad a rail car or aboard a vessel (depending on the facility).
  • Supervision – Oversee operations including the multi-shift inspections (if applicable) of automobiles. The Facility Lead is also responsible for coordinating with their Facility Manager or Area Manager that the inspectors are provided with the equipment necessary to perform their assigned duties.
  • Vehicle Inspection Reports – Provide oral and written reports of vehicle inspections to customer representatives as well as to the appropriate corporate managers and executives. Ensure that all files are transmitted upon completion of inspections.
  • Time Cards – Reviews and approves time cards.
  • Other – Perform additional duties as required by the Company or Facility. Make continuous recommendations to improve/ maintain quality and efficiency.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises 3-5 New Car Inspectors at any given time.

Work Conditions

Must meet all physical aspects to be able to successfully complete the vehicle inspection routine including;

  • Regular bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 25 lbs.),walking, standing, and climbing rail car and ship ladders
  • Outside working conditions
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, snow, etc…)
    • Must be able to work extended hours including weekends and holidays (if needed)
    • Must be physically able to perform vehicle inspections and provide oversight to inspectors
  • Subject to round- the-clock call (depends on facility).

 

Ability to Operate a Motor Vehicle

  • Possesses a valid state issued driver’s license

Travel

VII. Classification

This position is Non-Exempt and is eligible for overtime. Full Time New Car Facility Leads (over 30 hours per week) are eligible to participate in AIM’s benefit plans, including medical, dental and 401k.

Area Manager-North West Territory

Job Description

Title: Area Manager

Reports to: Jim Javier-Regional Director

  1. Summary

The Area Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of AIM’s vehicle inspection (mobile inspection, auction inspection, new car inspection) and dealer floor plan audit operations within a designated geographical area. The Area Manager is responsible for the quality and efficiency of all work performed.

The Area Manager must have the ability to supervise multiple employees in several locations, and monitor/evaluate employee performance and deliverables. The Area Manager will require effective communication skills in their daily communications with subordinates in their assigned area, the area’s Regional Director, upper management/executives and, ultimately, AiM’s customers. The position will be partially driven by analytical data obtained through AiM’s business intelligence software. The ideal candidate will be capable of interpreting the data in order to identify potential opportunities for improvement.

The Area Manager is a customer-facing position, therefore, a level of sales acumen is desired. The ability to identify business opportunities and guide them to produce growth and revenue will be an important trait in this role.

  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leadership – Supervise AiM employees that are conducting mobile inspections, dealer floor plan audits, auction inspections and new car inspections in their geographic area. Review daily performance reports to proactively engage potential issues and identify opportunities for improvement. Resolve issues with scheduling and performance as they arise.
    • Meet periodically with all staff in their area. Responsible for the implementation of Company policies and procedures in their area. The Area Manager is also responsible for ensuring that all personnel are provided with the equipment necessary to perform their assigned duties.
    • Performance Evaluation and Recruitment – Evaluates employee performance. Recommends merit increases, transfers and promotions. Responsible for coordinating with HR regarding employee recruitment and onboarding; termination, employee training, scheduling and discipline as well as employee health and safety issues. Provide coaching, guidance, training and staff development.
  • Customer Engagement – The Area Manager will be the front line in regards to face-to-face interaction with AiM’s clients including their dealers and lessees. This position will require an increased level of customer service skills combined with a heightened sense of professionalism.
  • Time Cards– Reviews and approves time cards.
  • Billing– Responsible for submitting various billing at the end of each month.
  • Regular Attendance and Availability – An Area Manager needs to be available on a regular basis via phone and email:
  • Travel – The Area Manager will need to be able to travel on occasion.
  • Other -Perform additional duties as required by the Company. Make continuous recommendations to improve/ maintain quality and efficiency.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises FSMs, New Car Facility Managers and Auction Facility Managers in assigned geographic region. The Area Manager must periodically perform in-field audits of Field Service Managers (FSM), auction Inspection sites, and consult with employees and Regional Director on findings.

Auto Damage Auction Inspector

Title: Auto Damage Auction Inspector

Reports to: Auction Facility Lead or Auction Facility Manager

 

I. Summary
On a daily basis, an Auto Damage Auction Inspector performs multiple inspections on used vehicles at a fixed auction site. The auction inspector is assigned to a single site, whereat he/she focuses on detecting damage, missing parts, and mechanical issues on vehicles being sold at the auction site. Inspections are performed in compliance with the client’s inspection routine and guidelines. All inspections are performed using a mobile device equipped with proprietary inspection software.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Used vehicle Inspection• Perform a thorough and accurate inspection of each vehicle’s condition.
    • Identify all damage, missing parts and mechanical problems while performing an inspection of the interior, exterior, trunk area, engine compartment and undercarriage of the vehicle.
    • Inspector must make objective decisions based on a defined set of inspection guidelines.
    • All findings will be recorded in a mobile device using proprietary inspection software. Other tools to be used include digital camera, tread depth measuring gauge, etc.
    • Inspections will take place outdoors at a large auction facility.
    • Regular Attendance and Availability is mandatory.

    Other- Perform other related duties as requested including but not limited to locating and moving vehicles.

Project Manager

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Reporting and Analytics Lead will ensure that customer requirements and expectations have been accurately identified and that the project is meeting or exceeding customer expectations. This will be accomplished through the development of a comprehensive Quality Management Plan and Quality Surveillance Plan that encompasses a Systems approach to establishing and achieving strategic project goals and objectives. The lead will proactively work to determine the metrics required to meet expectations as indicated in the project Statement of Work. The lead will work to proactively anticipate changes in expectations and determine the actions needed to meet those expectations. He/she will collaborate with Operations to develop a customer-focused approach to all aspects of the project.

Core Responsibilities:

·   Defines Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for the project.

·   Defines and documents the processes, methods, and tools necessary to meet or exceed customer expectations.

·   Establishes, communicates, and implements departmental plans, objectives, and strategies.

·   Utilizes Quality Assurance industry “best practices” to achieve strategic goals.

·   Defines, develops, and manages quality assurance metrics for performance improvement.

·   Communicates quality issues, objectives, and initiatives to enhance the engagement of all stakeholders.

·   Analyzes and assesses the current Quality Control processes for efficacy and implements improvement plans.

·   Supervises and completes Quality Assurance/Quality Control audits.

Required Education and Experience:
